Brandon and I got to get away for three hole days with no kids, and can I just say it was heavenly! We left the kids with my mom and headed to Yellowstone
Wy. We pulled up the Mustang and left the truck in West Yellowstone and drove around the park for two days. It was very quiet and peaceful with no one fighting in the back seat or asking how far till the hotel. We got home today and now I am out on my front porch listening to Isaac scream because
Aydan won't share the tractor, oh the joys of home!

This big guy was really this close to us, the picture does not do it justice, he was huge.

Sounds like a blast. How fun to drive around with the top down on your awesome car and run into (not literally) amazing animals. Sounds wonderful.
Way to go!! Traveling with boys is fun, but just you two getting away is a slice of heaven. What fun taking the Mustang--I'm jealous! See you Saturday!
shawn wants you to know that he has been to yellowstone but he was pretty impressed with the pictures! I hope that everything is going good with the no friends and no tv! I had my day today of wanting to quit my job of being a mother! love ya! hey some people here just booked a cruise and it is only like a 4 day cruise but it was only like $220 maybe that should be our next girls trip:)
I know I really wanted to come but I didn't want to leave until wed. so ave could go to school and dance and then I remembered that I would have to be back by Sunday because I have to teach that sunday! but I am going to try and go to annes wedding are you?

This is Mom "MacKay" . . . I hopped onto your site from Carrie's blog. I'm glad you and Brandon had a wonderful time out. What a way to go -- in a convertible mustang in Yellowstone! I also loved scrolling through the pictures of your boys. I can see a lot of Neeley in them. Sometime you'll have to leave them at the MacKays!

Yellowstone would have been fun in the Mustang, but you probably felt the crushing of any small animals under the tires a lot more.
