My Grandpa Wally passed away last night. He was 85 years young. Jack is named after him, he served in WWII, helped raise 7 children, worked on the farm and the railroad. Growing up we always got to spend a week at grandma and grandpas', they were the funnest weeks of my summer. We also spent every Thanksgiving with them. Grandpa loved his recliner and it is fitting that that is where he died. I will remember his chuckle, hugs, eating breakfast (eggs, juice, homemade bread with cheese whiz, and sometimes his fresh tomatoes) with him, how he always remembered the names of my kids even after he had his stroke, his big belly, and just how much everyone loved him. We will miss you.
I don't have any pictures because my scanner isn't working I'll try to put some on later.

I'm so sorry to hear that. He was always so nice to me. I hope your mom is doing okay through all this.
Love, Carrie
Sad news, so sorry to hear about your grandpa. Your family is in our prayers.
Sorry about your grandpa. I so love my grandpa's & think that all beloved grandparents should get to stay with us always. I'm sure they think differently, but it is hard to imagine life without them.
I know breakfast always reminds me of grandpa....I always thought it was gross that he would leave the yolk runny but now I love it! I am excited to see everyoone though... it's cool that Kristen is coming! but I will see you on Friday! Love ya
I'm so sorry about your grandpa--it's been almost 2 years since my grandpa died and that was one of the hardest times for our family. He was so loved, just like your grandpa. It's so nice to have so many good memories, though, to help you out at this time. You and your family are in our prayers. We missed you guys the other night.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I hope your Grandma and Mom are doing alright. I remember you talking about Grandpa Wally. Both of my Grandpas have died in the last 8 years or so, it is never the same without them at family things. I have started up on my blog again, so we'll have to keep in touch better. Also let's plan a weekend night in January to get together with the hubbies. December is just too crazy. Talk to you soon.
