There will be no pictures on this post. June has not been what it is supposed to be. Brandon left for scout camp the first Monday of summer. He came home to two sick kids and a sick me. Now mind you I had taken Ike into the doctor the day he got home and was told he just had a bad cold. Two days later Brandon and Jack were also down with the rest of us. Three days later Brandon and Jack headed to the doctor and found out Brandon tested positive for the Swine Flu. Yep, Swine Flu. Didn't know anyone whose had it? Well now ya do!
That was not the end of it, apparently Swine flu leads to other things. Aydan's lead to pneumonia, the rest of ours to bronchitis. My bronchitis lead to cracked ribs which have now become inflamed and an infection in my lungs. I have now been in the house for two and a half weeks, most of which have been spent on my couch.
I have GREAT parents and in-laws who have come to our rescue. Ike has been at my moms since Sunday. And Aydan at Brandon's mom and dad's. My mom and dad came over today to help me clean, my dad even vacuumed for me, it's amazing what retirement will do for a man. I can't wait till Brandon retires. Ike had his nap here and when Brandon woke him up he looked at me and went straight for grandma. I was worried he wouldn't want to go back with them but when my mom asked him if he was ready there wasn't even a hesitant moment. I feel I am losing my standing. I don't even know what "standing" that would be but whatever it is it's slipping through my fingers. My plan is to be back on my feet and yelling at my children by Friday. Wish me luck.
*Just so you know, if you get cold like symptoms with a fever get into the doctor and get that shot, because you can only get it within 48 hours of the swine flu.

That is so crazy. You are indeed the only person I personally know with swine flu. What a bummer. Glad the kids aren't missing school though. Is there any concern about flu while pregnant?
