CATCHING UP!

There will be lots of pictures and few words!

After hiding under a blanket on Brandon's lap crying to go home, this is how Ike watched the forth of July fireworks. Ducking down when it just got to scary.

Bear Lake with friends. It's been another dump truck summer.

Organized (again) with Klair the neighborhood party. I'd have to say we put on quite a party.
We spent two nights up the canyon with my family camping. Ike likes eating delicious hot shmoes.

In between everything Jack was playing baseball. There team won the league tournament. Jack was so happy.

OUR TRIP TO MOUNT RUSHMORE.
This was our first OFFICIAL trailer trip, and since we had to stay in campsites with power hookups (so the air conditioner would work) Brandon spent some time on the Internet to find some nicer places to stay. This campsite is in the middle of Wyoming, need I say more. It came with great reviews, lets just say they must have been from the 50's. The pool was in an old tin shed and empty and the miniature golf, to Aydan's dismay, was old and closed, no lawn just weeds and no trees. Oh well we still had fun.

In this same town was the first Wyoming state pen. It has since been closed and is supposedly haunted. Brandon and Ayd where the only ones who dared sit in the gas chamber where five men had been killed.

Devils gate (which is right next to Martins Cove) was a land mark for the pioneers. I would have to say driving across Wyoming made me really glad I wasn't walking with a handcart.

Crazy Horse. Jack will tell you this was a rip off ( just because he heard Brandon say it) Some of the Indian tribes own it and they like to charge top dollar. After all we did steal all there land from them.

Mount Rushmore. It was smaller than I expected but still pretty cool to see. The mountains around it are beautiful.
We don't know these people! I let Ayd take some pictures and this is what he took. Jack thought this was funny and they are still laughing about it. I would have to say he took a great picture.

It wouldn't be camping without smores but it rained and all the firewood was wet. So we improvised.

Our next stop was Devils Tower. It was pretty cool. The campsite was lots better with a fun playground and a nice pool. They even showed the movie First Encounters of the Third Kind at night. Brandon took Jack and Aydan I opted to stay and put Ike down since I hate Alien shows.

I know I am going to spell this wrong but this is Sacajawea's grave. You know, the one who went exploring with Louis and Clark. We never knew she was buried in Wyoming.

She is buried in an Indian graveyard on an Indian reservation. I have never seen a cemetery quite like this one.

This was the last 100 miles of our 1800 mile trip. Not so bad.
