Friends

I have had a box at my mom and dad's sitting in a closet and the other day I thought I would take it home and go through it. I found some crazy stuff, my High School Diploma, dance pictures, old license plates, my journal, and lots of pictures of friends and family so I thought it would be fun to show you some of my crazy friends from the olden days.

This is me and Carrie M. after our first dance recital. Carrie lived across the street. She was my bestest friend. I'm pretty sure this was the night she slept over for all of 10 min before she got scared and wanted to go home. I walked her home and then she walked me home and from there I don't know what happened, a parent must have come to help us. We were such chickens. But really cute ones!

This is me, Carrie M., and Chealsee V. We were up at Sundance (I think) for Carrie's birthday. Carrie's mom and dad where always taking me cool places. I think I went with them just as much as I went with my own family.

Yes, we paid a photographer to have all of our pictures taken. Having all boys I know now that I will never have to worry about my boys and all of their friends getting together to get their pictures taken professionally (unless for sports I guess). It was fun though, notice how all of our pants are way to short and we still managed to roll them up!

This was at a STOMP at BEHS. They were so fun, (I know that is bad to admit) nobody danced together during the fast songs only the slow. I think that is funny, when you watch shows that's all they are dancing to is the fast songs. I guess that just goes to show you how different our little town was and probably still is.

I had a hard time finding a picture of my crazy friend Amy G. She was always hiding her face or she was with a very stupid boy! This was on our first trip to Megan S's. grandma's cabin with no adult supervision. I remember we slept a lot, ate a lot, and talked a lot. We had many great trips there over the years. Anyway, Amy is the one on the right, she moved next door to me when we were still in grade school. I blame my cussing, and many hours of sluffing school on her. I am still cussing, she has repented and married a seminary teacher who has reformed her vulgar mouth. HAHAHA!

Here is my friend Megan S. I lived with her for the last three months of my Junior year of high school while my parents were in Mississippi. She is not going to be happy with this picture but I thought it was funny and it was the only one of us that we weren't being goofy. We went to Catalina after our senior year, before we started our first year at USU. We had a good time even though Meg's mom and dad were down the road at another hotel. This is the first and last time I will ever be in a bikini, my dad would have killed me if he knew but I had it shipped to Trish and Kurts house. I know very sneaky.

These pictures I have no idea why they were in MY stuff but I laughed a lot when I saw them. Of course these are my closest friends cause they are my sisters. We are very funny girls when we want to be. We got, and still get, new PJ's for Christmas and our tradition was to put them on and model them. As you can see we sometimes went overboard. I love my sister's .

I know for some of you who did not know me until after '96 you won't like this post, so sorry, but I had a good time looking back and I hope some of you do to!

LOVE IT!!! It is so fun to see the pictures and think about the wonderful friends we've had. Even though they no longer live across the street, or in the next room, they still are so important and helped shape who we are now.

Your friendship is a wonderful part of my life. I have so many memories of fun we had together growing up. (And I mention you in so many of the stories I tell me daughter.)

I love it when you can actually put pictures with stories from way back when. It's good to have pictures with your friends from growing up because they are the ones who know you and love you anyway. I'm still working on the cussing thing too, but that was mostly brought on by having kids!! ;)

Even though I wasn't in them, I still appreciate seeing your past life. It is also nice to know that you were crazy before meeting me.

Maybe when we go to Park City this fall, we should take some pictures so that one day, years from now, we can laugh at them. You know, when we are living in our condo on Maui or making our monthly visit to Vegas.

Ha! I don't remember being an accomplice in the bikini scam!! However, after having 5 children I wish I'd have sported a bikini when I was a senior in high school (just once)! Sorry Lindz. She's sitting by me gasping.

I loved the pictures, and I love my sisters too. We all did mostly walk a straight line and it was good to remember that we did get a teeny bit crazy at times.

Just you wait, I am going to get you back! I have a drawer full of old pictures too, so you better watch out. I'm sure I don't have one of you in a bikini though! You were all covered up, so that really wasn't fair. Oh well, it's fun to see all of the old pictures and I think if the worst thing we ever did was wear a bikini, our parents were pretty lucky! We were good girls! But I know I won't let Natalie wear one. When are we getting together? Let me know when would be a good time for you.

I love them! Good Ole BEHS! I still can't believe we really had professional photos taken of us, but at least we were all hot!!!

Thanks for the laughs and memories!
