Easter Extraviganza!

We had a great Easter weekend! Lots of get-togethers with lots of food and candy. We started out getting to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt 3 minutes late, only to find out that all the eggs had already been found. Luckily the kids have good friends that shared their stash of eggs. I can tell you that I was not "mom of the week" with my kids though. I have my excuses, but they don't apply anymore. Later, we headed over to my moms for lunch and more Easter hunting. I think the adults had a funner time hiding the eggs than the kids had finding them. I am pretty sure my mom will be finding some eggs in the future in some CRAZY places. Cousin Cam caught a little baby jack rabbit hopping through my moms yard. It was pretty freaked out with all the kids wanting to hold it, but is was really cute and appropriate for Easter don't ya think? Sunday we got up and went to church, all in our normal clothes, cause it was to cold for the "cute" clothes that I bought them. We will have to have a picture of us at a later date with the kids in their Easter outfits.

Brandon's family all came over (except Chad, he had to sing in the choir at his church) and had dinner and yet another Easter egg hunt. I piled all the candy in a box today, and decided I needed a bigger box. I'm wondering if the food pantry needs candy? We had a great time with everyone. I haven't forgotten why we have Easter though and I've been trying to not let our kids forget either, I'm grateful for our Savior and his sacrifice for us. Hope you all had a great one!!

Aydan had the idea to make a carrot trail to their Easter baskets so the Easter Bunny could find them. My camera needs some help, or the person working it does! Sorry!
