GAME STATION REHAB?
So our kids where driving us nuts with the x-box and PlayStation. Every time we ask them to turn them off it was a big ordeal, there was lots of crying and yelling and saying how mean we were. So we decided to limit the time so they had 1 hour a day and they could decide when they wanted to play the one hour, therefore giving them their limits in advance hoping that would help them know how long they had and not getting so mad when their time was up. No, that only seemed to make it worse! So two nights ago I had enough and I unplugged them and hide them. Now, my children are not allowed to play these games stations in the morning before school but they did while I was still in bed or getting Ike ready for the day (they would turn the volume down all the way and if they heard me coming they would hurry and turn them off, sneaky little bugs) and yesterday morning these sneaky little bugs where really mad when they saw that there morning fixes where gone. I told them that they had to earn the right to play with them by doing their chores, listening, and playing nice with their friends and brothers. Jack is having a really hard time with having to earn this privilege and has told me repeatedly how mean I am. Aydan on the other hand isn't getting it at all, he thinks if he just keeps asking me (at least 14 times in the last hour) somehow he will get to play it today. I am amazed how much they think about these games, I am thinking they are as addictive as drugs and gambling and therefore we need to open a game station rehabilitation center, we would make millions. I just had to vent for a minute and let all of you know if your questioning buying one of these, think twice, they only cause a lot of headache.

Amen Sister! You know I blame you guys for us having to buy one of them? Just kidding. My favorite part is how Aydan keeps asking over & over.....Davis & Dallin do the same thing. It just makes me think they will be awesome salesmen when they grow up & will be able to keep you & I in our Maui Condo & Vegas Penthouse.
man I agree....but for myself I know that I was majorly addicted when I was younger....and do I have to remind you about when you came to my house and I had the super nintendo I recall it was pretty hard to get you off that thing!
Way to go Lori! Stick to your guns. Thanks again for dinner last week. It was scrumptious.
